PMA parts – Everything you need to know but were afraid to ask

A source of important cost savings or a negative contributor to residual asset value, PMA parts are now an everyday part of the aviation industry. This workshop will separate myth from fact and arm attendees with the information they need to make balanced judgments on the potential use of PMA parts and construct a comprehensive PMA strategy.

Patrick Markham, VP Technical Services,  HEICO

Patrick Markham received his BS in Mechanical Engineering (Aerospace) from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, and his MS in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University.  Pat worked on PW4090, PW4098 certification programs and F119 development programs while at Pratt & Whitney.  In 1997, Pat joined HEICO to work on the PMA compressor blade certification programs.  Pat is currently VP of Technical Services for HEICO, with technical oversight responsibility for HEICO’s PMA activities.

Optimising your Supply Chain Management

You’ve right sized your stock, put a process improvement plan in place and managed your vendor base. Are you seeing the benefits you hoped for? If not, its time to start thinking outside of the box. This workshop will feature a presentation followed by a group discussion, establishing why the supply chain management team can be bogged down by operational constraints, causing them to lose focus on putting in place strategic actions that will improve performance.

Graham Smith, VP Business Development, BAE Systems Regional Aircraft

Graham Smith Head of Business Development, BAE Systems Regional Aircraft was born in Manchester England in 1960. Graham Joined then British Aerospace in 1979 and has held a variety of positions within the company predominantly in Supply Chain and Aftermarket Support & Contracts, including VP Spares Operations Americas in Washington DC, Commercial Director and currently Head of Business Development. During this time Graham has developed an extensive knowledge of the regional commercial aircraft sector and has been closely involved in Rate Per Flight Hour support programmes delivering value and satisfaction to our customers for over 20 years.

MRO systems - Defining, Sourcing & Implementing

Whether installing brand new systems, or upgrading existing ones, MRO information system projects are a major investment not to be undertaken lightly. Mistakes and poor decisions can lead to lengthy delays, cost overruns and a final solution not fit for purpose. This workshop will take you through the optimum process for defining, sourcing, selecting and implementing such projects.

Rajkumar Murugesan, IT Services, Tata Consultancy Services

Rajkumar Murugesan is the Head of Airline MRO solutions, as part of Travel & Transportation Sub-vertical, at Tata Consultancy Services. He worked in the production industry before joining the consulting business, and has has been working in the IT industry on enterprise application platform for the past 15 years in various roles in product selection process, pre-sales solutioning, implementation of business transformation solutions and technology deployment programs with various industry verticals, predominantly in the Airline MRO industry.

Rajan Bindra, Engineering Commercial Sales Manager, BA

Rajan  Bindra  has  worked  with  British  Airways  for  over  13  years,  recently moving to his current role of Engineering Commercial Sales Manager.  He manages the Sales and Marketing teams, co-ordinating activities across the business to support Engineering’s growing customer base.  He is also responsible for developing strategic partnerships to leverage Engineering’s capabilities through innovative and distinctive market offerings.  Bindra has an MEng (Hons) in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST).

Implementing a records management solution and process

In this workshop attendees will explore the benefits of moving to a cloud-based records management solution, how the system operates and how to migrate from a traditional paper-based process to one that aids efficient capture of records by integration with the airline or MRO’s maintenance IT system. 

Karl Scanlon, Director, Products and Services, AerData

Karl co-founded Waviatech and started developing STREAM in 2002.  In 2010 Waviatech was acquired by AerData. Karl has been in the aviation industry for over 17 years starting his career as an apprentice aircraft engineer at Aer Lingus in Dublin, Ireland. Karl then spent six years at Orix Aviation, a Japanese owned leasing company based in Dublin and the UK in various roles including responsibility for technical records before starting Waviatech in 2002.

Godfrey Ryan, Director, Marketing and Sales, AerData

Godfrey joined Waviatech (now AerData) in September 2005.   Godfrey has over 15 years’ sales and marketing experience in multinational companies in Ireland, New Zealand and Germany.  He graduated from University College Cork, Ireland in 1998 with a combined business and science degree. He also holds a Diploma in Management (Aviation and Transport) from the Dublin Institute of Technology.

 
Richard Dixon, Information Systems Analyst, KLM UK Engineering
 
Richard has been involved in the aviation industry for 25 years. Richard re-joined KLM UK Engineering at Norwich in 2008 after previously being with the company for 13 years. In the interim worked for aviation software company SITA in London, Aero California in Mexico as well as an IT software house. He holds a BSc(Hons) in Business Information Systems.
